Overview

After growing revenue by more than 50% at the end of 2005, this Moscow-based professional services organization was expecting another year of tremendous growth.

The organization's IT department wanted to identify opportunities that could position IT as a business-enabler; Fino Consulting was asked to craft an IT application strategy that would support growth in the coming 3-5 years and help deliver a breakthrough for the business.

Approach

First, Fino Consulting brought its senior leaders to Moscow for a collaborative session over four days with the customer's top professional service Partners.  Strategic business objectives where identified, discussed, and aligned with information technology opportunities; IT initiatives were expressed in business-relevant terms.  A business application strategy and roadmap were then crafted in support of the business imperatives. 

Solution

After only a single day of interviews, Fino Consulting identified organizational challenges that would complicate the execution of a 3-5 year strategy.  With consultation from the business, leaders refined the remaining interviews to address and uncover additional opportunities.

Fino Consulting crafted an application strategy that mapped to the immediate business needs while simultaneously addressed future organizational requirements.  The strategy was driven by a key business objective to attract and retain top-talent.  Additionally, the strategy positioned the organization to be able to respond to shrinking margins.

Providing the tools to develop professionals and ease the transition of top-talent into the organization, the Moscow-based organization was able to differentiate itself in the marketplace.  As a result, the client was able to elevate the brand, increase revenue through increased market share, and gracefully support a growing organization through intelligent information technology.

C-level executives requested that Fino Consulting assist the organization over subsequent months and years as they undergo a transition from a 200 million dollar organization to a 500 million dollar organization.
